Once again we have had a fantastic St George’s week which saw the market as busy and vibrant as ever. Visitors to the market were entertained daily by a range of different live acts from folk groups to string quartets. The Market traders were also out in force offering there wares to passers by
St George’s day itself was a great day for the market and undeterred by the weather we were paid a visit by mayoral candidate Boris Johnston who arrived on his double decker bus, wandered round the market meeting the tenants and then gave a rousing speech from the stage. Boris met the Morris dancers who were performing in the market and even had time to enjoy a cup of hot coffee. After Boris’s departure market goers were entertained by a stunning wind group. A great day for St George!
